Ricketts on National Security Supplemental: “This Bill Doesn’t Get the Job Done”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) released the following statement announcing his intent to vote no on the inadequate national security supplemental:

“President Biden is lying and playing politics by insisting he needs new legislation to secure our border. Biden and Senate Democrats have not been serious about negotiating real solutions to keep Americans safe. Any border legislation must force Biden to secure our border, stop his mass parole of illegal aliens, and end the national security and humanitarian crisis he created. This bill doesn’t get the job done. Instead, the lead Democrat negotiator is boasting about how under this bill our ‘border never closes.’ I will vote no.”
