Ricketts challenges Biden EV plan

“Tone-deaf.”

That’s Sen. Pete Ricketts’ description of the Biden Administration’s push for more and more electric cars in the very near future.

The President is calling for two-thirds of cars and trucks to be electric in the next nine years.

And that finds Ricketts, a Republican and former two-term governor, arguing that especially in states like Nebraska the plan “doesn’t make sense.”

According to Ricketts, there’s not a single EV charging station on a 340-mile stretch of Highway 20 between Allen and Hay Springs.

Ricketts adding the average price of an electric vehicle is $65,000.
