Ricketts Releases Videos Showcasing Successful Efforts to Cut Red Tape, Get Results for Nebraskans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) released two videos showcasing his team’s successful efforts to cut red tape and get results for Nebraskans navigating the federal bureaucracy.

When the federal bureaucracy fails Nebraskans, my team and I are here to help,” said Senator Ricketts.  “I’m proud of our work to cut red tape and deliver wins for Nebraskans. We’re committed to providing excellent customer service.

The first video features Jen and Shelly from Manley.  Jen and Shelly worked hard to open a daycare to meet a growing need for childcare.  They applied for a federal grant through the Department of Health and Human Services.  They exchanged 88 emails but continued to wait. Team Ricketts was able to cut through the red tape.  Jen and Shelly got their grant in time to open their doors.  Now, families in Southeast Nebraska have access to high-quality childcare closer to home.

The second video features Paul in Broken Bow.  Paul is the President of the Board of Off Broadway Apartments, a senior living community.  COVID requirements made it difficult for Paul to pay his staff.  Bureaucratic red tape made it difficult for Paul to receive the Employee Retention Credit.  Without it, he would be forced to close.  Team Ricketts contacted the IRS and ensured that Off Broadway received the proper tax credits.
